When we met with the team from Man Bands to discuss their vision and requirements for a website, it was clear that it needed to appeal to their target audience, be simple and clean, and allow for safe online shopping. They also expressed the need to share regular updates and engaging information with their online audiences through blog posts.
Man Bands specialize in wedding bands for men, finding and selling the best wedding bands in South Africa online. Their range of stylish and distinctive rings are available at great prices and of course, their website is visually impactful, with a choice of style, fonts and colours that speak to the modern man. This e-commerce website is responsive and offers online shoppers the option to create their own account securely, while also offering a wishlist and shopping cart, for ease of online purchasing. The inclusion of an SSL Certificate protects server-client communication, while the integration of a secure Payment Gateway provides online shoppers with the chance to make payments online safely.
We agreed that WordPress was the perfect choice, as an open source CMS (Content Management System) that would allow the Man Bands team to update their blog posts and products available for purchase, while still giving Virtual Designs access, in case any further website updates would be required in the future. We chose an effective WordPress theme as we developed the site, which creatively showcases the services offered by Man Band and subtly directs online users to buy or view the extensive product range. The Buy page of the website allows online visitors to easily filter their search for the band of their choosing, by category and by price-range.
