The website that we designed for Frailcare was built as a platform for showcasing retirement centres, nursing homes and old age homes throughout South Africa. The Frailcare site needed to be both informative and user-friendly. The website lists care facilities in suburbs and towns across 3 provinces and provides details of all these facilities.
Our Virtual Design's team of developers took time to meet Senior Service and establish the vision they had in mind for this website. The choice to use a WordPress CMS was easy, as it allowed for the easy uploading of available facilities, while also granting the client more control over basic changes to the site. The website is built responsive, fitting the screen of any device used to browse it. Added features of the site include a news section and available advertising space – both of which are easy to update with new content. Senior Service wanted the site to be as easy to navigate as possible, which is aided with a search function and various easy-to-use contact forms. Website visitors need only insert their email address on the site in order to receive the Frail Care newsletter.
The website also displays social media icons, connecting page visitors on the Frail Care site to their various social media accounts. During the development phase, we imbedded a Facebook feed onto the website, which is great for promoting the client's Facebook page in a small space and adds a social dimension to the visitors experience on the Frail Care website.
